Rutherglen Beer Festival
25th & 26th March 2022
Organised jointly by CAMRA Glasgow & West of Scotland and the Rotary Club of Rutherglen
As long as a war, civil insurrection, bad weather or a global pandemic doesn't prevent us - we will be holding our first beer festival since the summer of 2019 at the end of March. This will be at "No. 18 Venue" on Farmeloan Road near the centre of the Royal Burgh of Rutherglen.
To minimise Covid risk, numbers will be strictly limited. Priority will be given to those with tickets booked in advance. To avoid overcrowding a ticket will entitle you to a specific three hour session at the festival.
The Venue
No 18 Venue is, predictably, at 18 Farmeloan Road, G73 1DL; at the junction with King Street (opposite Chapmans Bar).
It is 350m from Rutherglen station but unfortunately this will be closed for improvement workds over the period of the festival. A rail replacement bus service will operate along the route of the Argyll line between Newton and Partick and the Rutherglen drop-off is very close to the Venue. Click here for more details.
A bus stop 50m away serves the 18, 46, 65 and 90 bus routes from Glasgow and more routes pass through Main Street, 280m from the Venue. There are direct busses from Hamilton and East Kilbride.
Opening Times
From noon until 10pm each day. The last session starts at 7pm.
The Beers
We have ordered 12 cask ales and a similar number of keg beers and there will be at least one cider. We cannot guarantee that all be available at the time of your visit.
Due to size limitations we will not be able to provide food; you will be welcome to bring your own food (within reason).
The Cost
Entrance tickets are £5 for a three hour session (£3 for CAMRA members). Tickets will be sold at the door when there is space available but, in view of the limited numbers at this festival, we strongly recommend you purchase tickets in advance. Tickets will be refunded if the festival cannot go ahead.
Click on the "buy now" box to purchase advance tickets. These cost £20 and give you guaranteed entry to a session and £15 of beer tokens (£17 for CAMRA members).
