Annual Award Winners
Great beer recognised at the Branch AGM
During the Branch AGM on 12 March several awards for 2021 were voted on. Firstly, our Beer of the Year is Loch Lomond brewery's Silkie Stout. Our congratulations go to Loch Lomond, who get to look after our trophy for another year following previous wins with Southern Summit. Secondly, the overall Branch Pub of the Year is the Weavers in Strathaven, who will go on to compete against the other branch pubs of the year in CAMRA's Scotland and Northern Ireland region. Thirdly, the Cider Pub of the Year is the Three Judges in Partick and we hope to make a presentation to them next month. Fourthly, our regular Pub of the Season award has recommenced after a two year hiatus with the Bon Accord near Charing Cross becoming the winner. Finally, our hosts for the meeting, the State Bar, which was voted Glasgow Pub of the Year in February, were presented with their award.
