Lanarkshire Pub of the Year

The Weavers in Strathaven are presented with their award.

Seven active branch members and a pub full of regulars took the trip to the Weavers in Strathaven to present them with our Lanarkshire Pub of the Year award. The Weavers has been a consistent purveyor of excellent real ales for over 20 years and, once again, we were not disappointed. Our photo shows Branch Chairman Jonathan Kemp handing our certificate to Maureen Campbell's mother, who's efforts in the family business' early days was recognised. In accepting our award Maureen thanked her brother Brendan for maintaining the quality of the beers, the staff and, most of all, the customers. The presentation was followed up by an excellent variety of snacks and the chance to watch France beat Argentina 4-3 in the world cup.
