Glasgow Pub of the Year 2017

The State Bar is Glasgow's Pub of the Year for the fourth year running.

The awards for the four Branch area pubs of the year for 2017 were completed with the presentation to the State Bar on Holland Street, our Glasgow Pub of the Year. This is the State's fourth consecutive win thanks to their friendly service and knowledge of and commitment to real ale. The award was preceded by a brief eulogy to Robin Every, a stalwart CAMRA member and State Bar regular, who died last November. Robin's favourite beer was Oakham Green Devil and the Oakham Brewery generously provided a barrel to the State to help us drink to Robin's memory.
