Presentation to the Weavers

During the half time break of the Six Nations match between Ireland and Wales there was an interruption to present the Weavers with their 2023 Lanarkshire Pub of the Year certificate. Branch Pubs Officer Tom Ord said that this was the Weavers' sixth successive win and that people could argue that there were no other good pubs in the county. Tom's view was that there were many good pubs around, several serving excellent real ale - but the Weavers remains one step ahead of them all, delighting customers in every way. The Weavers owner, Brendan Smith thanked CAMRA for the award, and thanked the customers and the staff, without whom there would be nothing.
